MOSCOW: President Vladimir Putin mentioned on Friday (Feb 23) that 95 per cent of Russia’s strategic nuclear forces had been modernised and that the Air Pressure had simply taken supply of 4 new supersonic nuclear-capable bombers.
Putin made the feedback in an announcement launched to coincide with Russia’s annual Defender of the Fatherland Day, which celebrates the military, a day after he flew on a modernised Tu-160M nuclear-capable strategic bomber.
The Russian chief praised troopers preventing in Ukraine in what he referred to as a “particular navy operation”, hailing them as heroes battling for “fact and justice.”
However he devoted a lot of his speech to what he mentioned have been the achievements of the military-industrial advanced.
His message: that Russia’s nuclear triad – its strategic land, sea and air nuclear capabilities – have been updated, being always modernised, and in good order.
“Incorporating our actual fight expertise, we’ll proceed to strengthen the Armed Forces in each potential method, together with ongoing re-equipping and modernisation efforts,” Putin mentioned.
“Immediately, the share of contemporary weapons and tools within the strategic nuclear forces has already reached 95 per cent, whereas the naval part of the ‘nuclear triad’ is at nearly 100 per cent,” he added.
