85-year-old Consultant Steny Hoyer (D-MD) suffered a “delicate” stroke Sunday night time and wanted to obtain medical remedy, in keeping with his Workplace’s spokesperson.
Hoyer’s spokesperson, Margaret Mulkerrin, in a press launch, wrote, “On Sunday night time, August 11, Rep. Steny Hoyer skilled a gentle ischemic stroke and sought medical remedy.”
Mulkerrin added, “Mr. Hoyer has responded effectively to remedy and has no lingering signs. He expects to renew his regular schedule subsequent week.”
“Mr. Hoyer’s spouse and household lengthen their deepest because of his medical crew,” spokesperson Margaret Mulkerrin stated in an announcement,” concluded Mulkerrin.
Rep. Steny Hoyer, 85, is likely one of the longest-serving members of Congress and has been in workplace since 1981.

A spokesperson for Hoyer — the 85-year-old former Home majority chief — stated the Maryland Democrat expects to renew his regular schedule subsequent week.
